Q1. We need a quick deployment. How hard is the actual installation for our IT team?

It's remarkably straightforward because we’ve eliminated the need for a central server or PC controller. Your team simply opens the MuraConfig utility in a standard web browser to auto-discover the appliances on the network. From there, you can align bezels, set resolutions, and arrange layouts in minutes, not hours. For day-to-day operation, the built-in MuraControl web interface makes managing your sources and windows effortless, allowing you to instantly organize live data and web dashboards across the entire wall.

Q2. Can we scale our video wall later without replacing the initial hardware?

Absolutely. The Mura DVW features a modular, "pay-as-you-grow" architecture that allows you to expand your system in two distinct ways:

• Scaling your Display Surface (Outputs): You can expand your visual canvas simply by adding more appliances to your two GigE network ports. This allows you to scale up to 64 4K displays or up to 256 Full HD screens when paired with Matrox QuadHead2Go while staying perfectly frame-locked via built-in PTP.

• Scaling your Content Density (Sources): Unlike traditional controllers, decoding performance actually improves as you add more units. Each appliance adds the dedicated power to decode 6x 4K60 streams, making it effortless to increase the number of live dashboards, web pages, and IP camera feeds shown on your wall without compromising system stability.

Q3. How does this system maintain 24/7 uptime in a control room?

We've moved away from the "single point of failure" model. In a traditional setup, if the controller PC crashes, the whole wall goes dark. With our distributed, serverless design, each appliance processes its own video locally. If one node is interrupted, the rest of the wall stays operational. To ensure maximum physical reliability, the hardware is purpose-built with locking HDMI and locking power connectors to prevent accidental disconnects and ensure continuous operation in demanding environments.

Q4. Can we display sources from different, secure networks on the same wall?

Yes. The system is designed to comply with strict IT security policies by utilizing two physical network ports to keep data traffic completely separated. You can deploy the appliances using encrypted ingest supporting HTTPS, authenticated RTSP, and SRT while keeping management traffic and sensitive data feeds isolated through dedicated physical ports, VLANs, or network segmentation. This allows you to monitor multiple secure streams on a single wall without compromising network integrity.
